Steve Mortenson, president of the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, and Grants Committee Chairman Dave Schempp, show off one of three new ambulance stretchers acquired through grants provided by The Summit Area Public Foundation and the Junior League. Said Mortenson, "these new stretchers improve our ability to safely and comfortably transport patients. We could not have purchased them without such generous grants."
The First Aid Squad is an independent non-profit corporation and does not receive any tax dollars. All operations are funded through private contributions and grants.
