New Summit EMTs Selected as Star Students (6/15/2012)

Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad members Stephen Brown and John Buscaino recently completed the Emergency Medical Technician training program at Union County College and were awarded Student of the Year honors for their work in class. According to Laurie Sheldon the EMT Program, Director, Stephen and John were selected as the "students who best exemplified the attitude, knowledge and skills an EMT should have".John Buscaino and Stephen Brown, 2 of the Summit First Aid Squads newest EMTs show their Student of the Year awards

Mr. Brown is a member of the Tuesday day crew and Mr. Buscaino volunteers on the Friday Night crew. Squad Captain Kari Phair, was pleased to congratulate both men on their achievement. "The First Aid Squad has been so successful for 50 years primarily due to our dedicated volunteers like Stephen and John", she said.

Tjhe First Aid Squad is always looking for new members to join its ranks. All training and equipment is provided free of charge and scheduling of shifts is flexible in order to accommodate other commitments.
