The Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad is the official emergency ambulance service and primary EMS agency for the City of Summit. Squad services include:
24-hour Emergency Medical Services to Summit and surrounding communities. To report an emergency, dial 9-1-1
Non-emergency ambulance transportation for Summit residents
EMS coverage of community events
Public education in CPR, first aid and other health & safety related topics
A speakers bureau available to address civic groups, community meetings and schools
Loan of crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.
Our members provide medical coverage at most major community events including home football games, parades, Santa's arrival, July 4th celebrations & First Night. We also have a Bike Team that covers events with large areas and/or numbers of people.
The Squad offers regular classes in CPR, First Aid & emergency preparedness to the public. American Heart Association & American Red Cross courses are free of charge to all Summit residents. The Squad also hosts many training programs for Fire, Police & EMS organizations in the area. Whenever possible, courses are offered at no charge. Click here to see our Upcoming Events
